Tokyo's large-scale city marathon kick off in style when thousands of runners-including some of the top names in the sport-compete in the race. The road course takes the athletes past such well-known city landmarks as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Tokyo Tower, Ginza, Tsukiji and finishes at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake. With thousands of spectators lining the route, the Tokyo Marathon is poised to become a racing institution on the scale of Boston, New York or Berlin.

The world's largest anime exhibition is held every spring at Tokyo Big Sight. The exhibition features booth exhibits by anime-related companies, events such as spectacular stage performances and theater movie showings, and the "Tokyo Anime Awards" in which outstanding anime works are presented with awards.
